guardian.jpg

Gainesville Guardian serves both East Gainesville and the African-American community. Editor Carolyn Palmer covers local news, opinions and information of particular interest to the African-American reader on education, health, business, arts and entertainment, spirituality and sports plus community news such as weddings, obituaries and youth and recreational sports. The Guardian also delivers advertising messages, classified ads, inserts and a market place for local businesses and services.

The Guardian is published on Thursday and is available throughout the community with free copies available in many African-American churches and businesses in East Gainesville. Home delivery is also available. Total distribution is 10,000 copies.

Businesses and community leaders have shown enthusiasm and support for the Guardian. We invite readers, businesses and community organizations to contact the Guardian with story ideas, for advertising services and for subscription services.
